Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) & Certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise.
LONG BEACH, CA – October 7th, 2019 — EPCM-RMS, Inc., a Southern California Staffing, Recruiting firm whose staff has more than 30 years of combined staff augmentation experience, announced that it had been awarded the Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) certification by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA). Resource Management Solutions (RMS) is owned by President/CEO Paul Kallina, a combat-experienced Air Force veteran who served in the Gulf War.
Since starting RMS with Executive Vice President Ryan Allen in 2014, Kallina has hoped that RMS would eventually be awarded this certification and felt both excited & honored when the certification from the VA was announced late last month.
“Receiving this certification is a pivotal moment for RMS. It was an honor to serve my country no matter what the cost, and it means a great deal to me personally for RMS to be recognized as SDVOSB.” says Kallina. “I’m excited for our current and future team as we leverage this chance to accelerate towards our vision.”
Ryan Allen, EVP has significant experience supporting government projects from the local to federal level and has led RMS to become increasingly more involved in government projects.
According to Allen, “It has been a focus of ours (RMS) to continue to support state, federal, and military related projects and this certification not only aids our organization to that end but it also recognizes the contributions and sacrifices Kallina has made while in the military and serving his country.”
The process for becoming certified SDVOSB is a long and arduous process, one that took Kallina over a year to complete. Now that it has finally been made official, RMS has its eyes on the future. Says Kallina:
“In the end, the doors this certification open up, not only to me but to everyone on the RMS team, that makes it all worth it. The opportunities presented to RMS by being certified SDVOSB will have a meaningful impact on every person in this company.
